How do you organize little baby's clothes?
New momma here. I had everything divided up by size in the closet and drawers - a lot of things came on their own hangers.
Now that things are washed and in use - how do you organize what goes on hangers and what goes in drawers?
Especially her wardrobe for 3 - 6 months, there are a lot of sleep n plays and layette. Is that pajamas that go in drawers ? or do you reuse the little hangers they came on?

How do you organize little baby's clothes?
I ditched most of the hangers that the clothes came on since I had a few packs of baby sized plastic hangers. I mostly only hang her dresses. Everything else is in drawers but we have two dressers for her so there's plenty of room. One drawer has bibs and socks. One has onesies in her current size and her tall dresser has everything else with one drawer for each size. I vacuum seal things as she's grows out of them to make room for newer, bigger things. Of course you can do whatever works for you, I just find it a pain to hang things, plus I like to have most of her things within reach of the changing table.

I never hung anything at that age. My DS ia 12 mons and I jsut started hanging a few shirts.
Other than that it really depends on your nursery set up and what works for you. It took me a bit but now I finally feel organized.

Re: How do you organize little baby's clothes?
I have my own hangers.
hanging: decorative onesies outfits dresses sleepwear shirts sweaters
folded: white onesies leggings pants
I hang pretty much everything. I hang all her sleep n plays and pajamas.
eta: I don't really have a dresser, that's why everything hangs. I like keeping all her outfits together though, I wouldn't even know how to organize her stuff in drawers.

Re: How do you organize little baby's clothes?
i have a big closet and I like to see everything...i feel like things get "lost" in the drawers...so i did this from birth on...and still do this for my 4 and 5 yr olds:
I fold and put in drawers: onesies, socks, pajamas
I hang all: sweaters, shirts pants outfits dresses
and because I hang more than I draw - I save the hangers and put them in a plastic bin on the floor of the closet...bec since I do this for 3 kids - that is a lot of hangers I cant see buying if i get them for free

I hang nice outfits, sweaters, hoodies, etc.
In the drawers we can fit a lot so I have: All undershirts in one drawer socks and hats in another
Clothes are first seperated by size. Right now I have 2 drawers I'm using that he fits into Newborn/0-3 Mo. All the sleepers are in one drawer. Day time clothes (onesies and pants) are in another.
I haven't seperated the bigger sizes yet- I just have 3-6 mo and 6-9 months in two drawers. I'll deal with those when the time comes.

Re: How do you organize little baby's clothes?
with my son, all new stuff (with tags, unwashed) was hanging in his closet by size. This way, I could take a size out and wash as he grew.
I just organized my DD (due in 2.5 weeks) dresser.
All things for future are hanging or in the cloest as I did with my son.
6 drawer dresser
Left side top drawer - socks, mittens, bibs middle drawer - NB onsies, pants, side snap shirts bottom drawer - NB outfits, sleepers, gowns
Right side top drawer - muslin swaddles, swaddle mes, burp cloths middle drawer - 0-3 onsies, pants bottom drawer - 0-3 outfits, sleepers, gowns etc.
I have other storage for towels, washcloths, sheets, etc etc etc

Re: How do you organize little baby's clothes?
I have the closet things from etsy that separate sizes. I put only stuff out that I use in the drawers and outfits in the closet. some bigger stuff goes in their 2nd dresser. Onsies and socks also go in the drawers.

Re: How do you organize little baby's clothes?
I think it really depends on your own preference and storage space.
pj's onsies and pants go in draws, as long as they are the current size. Anything too big is hung up. everything else gets hung up

Re: How do you organize little baby's clothes?
I get rid of all the hangers from the store....thats how I know that they have been washed!
I hang pretty much everything..like matching outfits....in order of size. I put socks and short sleeve onesies in one drawer, long sleeve onsies in another, blankets in another, pants in another and sheets and such in another.
