I think at 8 months, she is at the perfect age for some more table food...JMHO

You can try some of the following (all in small pieces)

Chicken
Apples
Cheese (HUGE hit with my dd)
Crackers
Bagel
Bread
Cherrios
Puffs
Beef

I'd say she's ready for things cut up really, really small. Sounds like she's going to be a great eater for you!

I give Tyler table food...I started with pastina and now give him sweet potatoes and carrots (which are cooked and very soft) and cut it up into small pieces.

Ava was on all tablefood at 8 months, I think you have to be ready for some amount of gagging and choking. Just remember that the more calm you stay the better. Go into it prepared to sweep her mouth a few times during the meal, and you'll be more mentally prepared. It's a learning experience for both of youChat Icon
