How do you go about finding a nanny?
So I finally made appointments to tour 2 day care facilities next week, but I would also like to explore alternatives to daycare.
How do people find nannies? Which websites/referral programs have you used?

my sister used Care.com for her nanny. She has 3 kids, she has been very happy with her so far. There is also sittercity.com, Good luck!

My best friend used care.com as well. She LOVES her nanny, and so does her son. She's been with him since he was 3 months old, he's now 20 months.

where are you located? we used mommybites.com to find our nanny, but most of the postings are for work in the 5 boroughs.
