how do you get your hands on a foreclosed home?
when i try to look up foreclosed homes on the internet, you have to pay to view it..
are they legit? is there a better way to get a listing for free?

I have been trying to look for the same exact thing! It's pretty difficult to find an inventory. I signed up for the free 7 day trial with realtytrac.com but I didn't find anything that I liked in the areas we were looking.
So if you come up with anything let me know as well. I'm also at a loss for where to look!

We looked in the legal notices section of the paper when we were looking.
We ended up buying a FSBO though.

I would call a realtor and ask them to show you foreclosures. I bought a foreclosure, and we found it through a realtor in DH's family.

Call a REA in the towns you are looking for. A lot of times they are listed through real estates.

Like the previous posts said, try the bank and a REA. I used to work in foreclosures and those are the ways to go.
