How do you dress your infant for daycare?

during the summer months? I am thinking short sleeve onesie & light weight pants for DD? Socks? Shoes?

I wouldn't think skirts & shorts are good idea, she might get scratches on her legs?

Help me, I have no clue Chat Icon Chat Icon

I used to put her in dresses, short outfits, pants, etc. whatever I would dress her in at home. Why would she get scratches on her legs?

DD scratches herself no matter how short we keep her nails. We have mittens on her all the time, but they tend to fall off, anyway I wouldn't want to keep her hands in mittens during the summer.

Should I bother to put socks and shoes on her for daycare? They won't stay on for long though Chat Icon

When she was an infant I dressed her mainly in dresses in the summer.

In Abby's day care, they keep the room warm in the winter and cool in the summer. She will not be there this summer, but already the room is cool enough for them to ask that she have long sleeves on. I provide both. Half the time, she is never wearing what I send her in with. She drools a lot, gets the front of her clothing wet and they change her so she doesn't catch a cold!

When DD was an infant I dressed her is dresses and shorts for the warm months. She never wore sneakers. We used to put socks on but they always came off at some point in the day.

She didn't start wearing shoes until she could walk and they started going outside.

DS wore shorts but he is not a scratcher. Some people don't like that their legs may get dirty but that wasn't so bad for us. He had pants and a sweatshirt in a bag. He would get the sweatshirt sometimes. The easiest things were those one piece short outfits. I'm all about once piece easy outfits for infants and I said that often on LIF!!! He just might end up wearing pajamas as I get more tired!!!

He wore shorts and a t shirt or onesie.

I sent long pants and sweatshirt/long sleeve t shirt if it was cooler.

He wore socks. His daycare didn't really want them in shoes til they could walk.
