How do you clean your toddler's (under age 2) teeth?

The dentist post reminded me I've been meaning to ask this question. Right now DS is 19 months and we've been using a finger brush with Baby Orajel brand tooth and gum cleaner. It was something tossed in my wishing well so I figured I would try it. But the tube is getting low and wanted to ask what everyone else uses. Thanks!

When we remember to, we/they brush the twins teeth with a tooth brush. They are almost 16 months adjusted Sometimes we use toddler tooth paste.

Ds is 18 months. We've been trying to use a toddler toothbrush but sometimes it's easier to use the finger one. We use Earths Best toothpaste.

I rub DD's gums everynight after the bath. Then before bed I brush her teeth with a toothbrush. Although, we have to play I brush your teeth and you brush mommy's teeth.

We started with the finger brush then moved to regular toddler toothbrush. And then she refused to let me do it so we had to give her one and use another one... and then she wanted both... right now she holds 2 toothbrushes and I use the finger brush. Not a battle I'm fighting at this point, lol.

ETA: just water no toothpaste

Hmm I didn't know Earths Best made toothpaste. What toddler toothpaste do the rest of you use if you said you do?

DS is actually pretty good letting me get the finger brush in his mouth but sometimes he bites down and it hurts so bad! I did try a toddler brush and he was like no way.

I brush my 17 month old dd teeth with a toothbrush and no floride baby toothpaste twice a day. It's a battle sometimes. I usually have her "brush" my teeth while I brush hers, and then let her brush her own, which she loves!

Flouride free toothpaste since they don't understand how to spit yet. I use a toddler toothbrush.

at 21m we use a regular toddler toothbrush and organic baby toothpaste during the bath. most of the time i let her do it herself and i just help to make sure it she knows how to do it the right way. but mostly she likes it and its part of our bath routine.

Toddler toothbrush and baby oragel fluoride free training gel. I'm lucky if I get 5 seconds in before he's throwing a tantrum and runs off sucking on the brush. And for that reason I will sometimes brush his teeth while I change his diaper and pin his arms down. So fun. Not.

we usually get her to brush her teeth twice a day - morning and before bed - toddler toothbrush and toothpaste...she is good at brushing her front teeth by herself and she then lets me get the back ones. She will be 22 months this month.

at about 1 yr we started with the regular toddler toothbrush & fluoride-free training toothpaste. It was a battle so I bought a Spin brush from Target a couple months later & it has been much easier since. he seems to like the vibration. Plus because it's a spin brush, I feel like I get to brush all of his teeth quicker.
