how do you clean soft infant toys that say surface only?
DD sucks on EVERYTHING. Her favorite toy is Freddie the Firefly.
The wings get soaked from her sucking on them.
How are you supposed to clean something like this?
It says surface clean, but I can't imagine a damp towel with mild detergent is going to clean it well enough.
She also sucks on the ears of her lovey, which is a puppy that has the pull on the bottom to play music.
All her toys have some kind of bell, rattle, or crinkly paper.

If they aren't motorized, I usually throw them in the laundry or wash them by hand......

I wash all those type of toys in washing machine, gentle cycle with detergent and in the dryer for like 10 minutes, then let air dry for the rest.
If it doesn't survive, it goes in the trash. I haven't lost a toy yet. Lamaze toys wash beautifully, btw!
bell, rattle, crinklly paper, even electronics (Laugh and Learn Puppy) ... have all survived. Just pull out the batteries and wash it.
