How do we go about starting a small law suit?
We had a pool company come and "fix" our liner numerous times last summer. We spent close to $700 and have receipts for everything.
When we opened the pool this summer, the liner was falling off again. We hired a new company that fixed it the right way. Spent double the time and even said the way that the other company attempted to fix it was incorrect and it would have never lasted.
I want something to be done about this! I am infuriated how much money we spent last summer.
Can I sue? small claims court? how do I do something about this?

Small claims court would be the way to go, but do you have some kind of warranty on it (I know nothing about pools).

How to sue in small claims court in NY Small claims court damages are capped at $5,000.
Edit because I thought you wrote damages were 7000 and not 700.
