How do I wean myself off of Breast pumping?
My DS hasn't breastfed in over 10 days, since I was on medication.
I've been pumping and it's honestly been too stressful to pump on top of everything else going on. Plus, I feel like it takes me AWAY from DS every time I have to pump, which is not what I want.
Do I just decrease how much I pump little by little? Just enough to get rid of the pain/pressure?
I read online NOT to bind my breasts, but the P.A. at my doc's office just told me to do just that!
What do I do to wean off pumping as painlessly as possible?

When I got sick after I had DD, I had been pumping and I ended up stopping all together although my supply dwindled because I was so sick and the strength of the IV antibiotics, I don't know what your supply is like but I had no issues stopping all together.

I've always heard to bind your breasts too. I know that worked for all my cousins after they gave birth...tho o suppose just pumping less and less each time would help but might take a while before you stop making milk. I was looking at bfing stuff online and came across a tea or herbal supplement that helps you stop making milk...I don't remember whereby saw it but maybe if you google it would come up! Also, I'd ask your OBGYN what they reccommend you do.

wear a tight bra, pack the girls in ice (bags of frozen veggies work great), frozen cabbage leaves inside the bra

Are you giving up BF altogether or just relief pumping? Advice would differ depending on your plans...

how often/when are you pumping now? do oyu want to go cold turkey, deal with engorgement, or do it slowly?

I stopped cold turkey, didnt have a huge supply to begin with. I just wore a tight sports bra, and it was painful for a few days, but before long, all was back to normal.

I had to do this after 6 months and I was a WAY over producer and this worked for me in 2 days........COLD, but not forzen cabbage leaves in my bra. Switch them out every 2-3 hrs and believe it or not a leaf will cup a breast perfectly. Weird I know, but it feels relaly good! I would hand express JUST enough to soften the breast a tad. Not even an ounce together. You can't empty the breast or get a let down or you;re defeating the purpose. Don't massage or "feel" your breasts. Just when changing the leaves express a tad to relieve the pressure and move on. Like I said in 2 days I was just fine, but it is uncomfortable. It shouldn't hurt, but it's not the most pleasant feeling either.
