How do I order curtains?

I know this is a silly question, but I have no idea how to figure out how much to order!! Im looking to get curtains for a standard sized window and one that is not so standard...

The width only matters if you plan on closing them to keep out light. In any case panels are usually 46-50" wide so if you have a std window - that's plenty to cover it.

I hang my curtains from floor to ceiling - I mount them right below our crown molding so it gives the illusion of a higher ceiling (which is horse cocky to me anyway, b/c you walk into my house and you know it's 8ft ceilings). The height I always buy is 96". If you like the look of pooling curtains, order a longer panel.

Where are you ordering them from? Are you ordering custom or buying fabric to have them made?

So it's just length then.

If you don't want it to pool - go with 96" and hang from just below molding, or go with 84" and hang just above window.

If you want it to pool - go with 96" and hang from 3" above window, or go with 108" and hang from just below molding.
