How do i get this kid to nap????
She will not nap for me and DH but when Grandma watches her she sleeps all the time.
Should I do cry it out for naps? I cant take it that she never naps for us. I am also off from work for like a month and a half and if she doesnt nap Im gonna lose my mind.
She is in her crib now crying? She has been up since 6 am and you can tell she is tired but everytime i put her in the crib she rolls over, stands and then cries.

When grandma watches your DD, does she go down easily or does she have to CIO ?
I know it's not for everyone but we HAD to do CIO for my sons naps when he started rejecting them altogether. He was never a good napper but started refusing them altogether at about 14 months old ... he definitely NEEDED the nap, though, since he's an early riser and he pass out immediately in the car if I took him out at his naptime
IT was bad here.. he is a tough stubborn kid and actually cried for an hour or more for over a week when we first started CIO. But like it normally goes, he finally gave up and started crying less and less until he was napping in his crib well again. Now he goes down without a peep..(except for the occasional day where he'll play in there for a long time before passing out..)

She goes down usually without a problem. I feel like its us because she never sees us and feels as if she is missing out on somthing

Jen totally agree with this. Hannah slept like a champwhen my mom watched her. Now that I'm back she's back to her oldself. I had to let Hannah CIO for naps - now she's back on schedule. 1 nap a day for about 1.5 - 2 hours

Re: How do i get this kid to nap????
CIO works for me, both at nap and at night. I babysit and I have heard from the parents that on the weekends their DC takes "cat naps" here and there. I feel guilty because when the baby is with me, the baby falls asleep when we go for a walk and stays asleep for about 2 hours. If we don't go on a walk, I still put the baby in the carriage and rock her in the house and that's where the baby falls asleep. It could be your DD is afraid of missing something or she knows you are Mommy and she's "Playing' you.
