Chat Icon When you put the dropper in, aim towards the cheek. This way they don't push out the medicine with their tongue. I do this with my 7+month old and it works.

Put it in a syringe and stick it in his cheek in the back by where the hinge of the jaw is.
Also if you blow gently in his face, it is instinct for them to close their mouth and he will likely swallow.

ITA. Put the dropper in his mouth by his cheek and slowly give him the medicine, don't squirt it all in at once.

I hope he feels better soon!Chat Icon

As the others have mentioned, put the medicine to the side. That way he cannot spit it out. DS had to take so much medicine as an infant. Chat Icon

If he is used to taking a bottle, just take a nipple and put the medicine in there and let him take it from the bottle nipple.
