How do I get a 14 month old to cough out...

the mucus in his throat?? Its been there for like 3 days now and his nose is all runny. Aside from waiting for him to throw up, what else can I do to get it out? I use the saline nose drops and aspirator to get out whats in his nose but how do I get out whats in his throat??

They're so young at that age that I don't think you can get them to cough it out. Keep using the saline solution in the nose. I find it's the best thing to get all that mucus out of their system and usually works after using it for a few days.

I would just keep doing what you're doing. When DS gets like like I contantly give him saline drops throughout the day and it helps break it up faster. You really can't overdo it. Hope he feels better soon
