How did your DC react to his/her first round of shots?
DS is going for his first round next week, but I also have an appointment for myself later in the afternoon. I was wondering if I should re-schedule. Are they mostly just tired after?

For DS's one month visit, he got one shot and slept most of the day after that. For his 2 month visit, he got 3 shots, he wasn't bad that day, but the next few days weren't so good. He was very fussy and uncomfortable. I had to give him tylenol...

Ezra just took a really long nap after his first round of shots. I was worried he would have a bad reaction but he didn't. For round 2 and 3 he seemed completely unfazed.

My DS had his 1st round at 10 weeks and he was a little more sleepy. He had a very slight fever but we only needed to give him tylenol twice over two days. I expected much worse. He had no redness on his thighs either. He had Pdeiarix, HiB, and rotovirus (oral).

No reaction with either kid. Just slept very well those nights following. He'll be fine.

Slept for several hours then woke up screaming - screamed for an hour then we called the ped and he said to give her tylenol. I'd probably change the appointment - you just never know...

DS got 3 shots at 8 weeks. when he got home he slept for 3 hours. from my experience i would try to move your appt to let him sleep.

A few hours after the shots he had a low grade fever and cried for 20 minutes straight. He's not a crier at all. I gave him some tylonal and rocked him and then he went to sleep.
I always give him tylonal before the shots now.
ETA: Make sure you have tylonal on hand just in case!

My dd slept for 4 hours then screamed for 4  it was miserable!

James has had zero reaction to any of his shots thus far. He cried for maybe 2 minutes afterwards, but that's about it..
