How did you know it was time to start potty training?

We are slowly introducing it. We started very young by always letting him watch us go. We didn't want him to be afraid of the toilet and flushing.

Then we bought a potty and just kept it in the bathroom. He wanted to sit on it do we let him. It slowly evolved into telling us peepee and going on the potty.

That is as far as I've gotten but my ds is just turning 2 next week. I figured if we started early it would never be a rush.

My daycare helps a lot. The put him on the potty there all the time.

My son didn't show any signs, so I just started on a random weekend. On day two I thought he wasn't ready, but kept going with it. He was trained by day 4.

I started when I was ready, didn't wait for any signs. The week after her 2nd birthday. It took less than a full day for day time, about a month for naps, and we're still working on overnight.

My son never gave me a sign.
We trained him 3 months after he turned 2. Pee was 3 days, poop was a lot longer. Maybe 3 months.

DD would say "pee pee" when she saw the potty. Trained her in 1 day. It was amazing. She is pee and poop trained. Trained her 2 months before turning 2.

My son also didn't show me any signs. I just thought that he's now 2.5 & needs to start using the potty. He was trained in 1 day!
