How did you CIO?
I know people do it all different ways. I did CIO in the summer and because of travel, birthday and then illness, I must do it all over again I was going to try to do it the same way, but I'm nervous it won't work as well the second time around-so just looking for ideas on what you did TIA

Re: How did you CIO?
How old is your DC?
I did full blown CIO, I did not go in, I did not give in and it worked for us.
We would kiss DS goodnight, tell him we love him, etc.. and then close the door. First night was rough, but it gets better. By day 3 it was a breeze and we never looked back.
Wanted to add, we also had to do it a few times after that for various reasons (Moved to Toddler bed, DS got sick) and we did the same thing as above each time.

This is pretty much exactly what we did. It only made it worse to keep going in to console them. By night 3 there was little to no crying. You just have to stay strong and remain consistent.

OK, I did it at 7 months, again at around 15 months and again at 2. The 2nd and 3rd time was so much easy then doing CIO the first time, it really only took 1 night and DS cried for about 20 min's before passing out on his own.
