How can I trick my 13 month old into drinking milk from a sippy?
DD out right refuses to drink milk from a sippy. She spits it right out. I read somewhere online to try ovaltine with the milk but I am not sure that is a good idea at her age. Any suggestions? Not sure what the difference is to her . . .

I have the same problem and my DD is 17 months. She will drink anything else from the sippy but milk for some reason needs to be in a bottle. I am tempted to try a touch of Ovaltine---I had heard the same advice. I'll let you know if it works on this end.

I did a teeny bit of choc. syrup and then I weaned it away once he started drinking. it worked like a charm. He drinks milk like it's his job now.

we used ovalteen with DS at the age of 1.
DD will drink it either way at 13.5 months.

Good to know- I guess I will try it out then! Those that tried ovaltine did you use malt, chocolate or chocolate malt?

I'll have to try the ovaltine or the chocolate syrup too..Tommy wants nothing to do with the sippy of milk! (Although right now he doesn't walk milk at all, that's another post...)

When I give my baby (12 month old) a sippy cup, he laughs at me. Like full-on belly laugh, he throws his head back and just cracks up. He won't drink it. When you find out, let me know!

I have tried everything and my DD will not drink milk from her sippy... she only drinks water from it...
She will not drink milk anymore at all.. my dr said as long as she eats cheese and yogurt she is fine, so we give her a little bit of both thorughout the day..

Did you try the sippy with a straw? DD (14 mnts) uses the Playtex insulated sippy with the straw and loves it!

I hate to say it, but nothing worked for DS. I tried every sippy cup ever made, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, milk in a juicebox....you name it I did it. I ended up letting him keep the bottle til he was 2 and he never drank another sip of Milk again....he is 4. Only milk he gets is in cereal. Other than that it cheese,yogurt, ice cream.

My son is the same way...I am ok with him having his 3 bottles still (he is 20 months) He is a peanut and want him to get his milk still so I plan on weaning him before his 2nd bday!

Yes- she loves sippies with straws. But still won't drink milk from it.
