how are the roads / parkways today?
I have to drive from South Shore of Nassau to Huntington (taking the Meadowbrook and Northern State). How are the roads today? I won't be leaving for another couple hours and will be coming back after rush hour.
We didn't go out yesterday. I drove on Saturday afternoon. My car handled fine (and I went slow), but other cars were spinning out and there were TONS of accidents.
I am just hoping the roads are better. I'm no stranger to driving in the snow and ice -- but if people are still sliding all over the place, I won't go...

The highways seem to be ok, it's the side streets that are bad (or were this morning).

drove from long beach to smithtown with out issue
all the main roads are clear

The main roads and secondary roads are fine. The side streets are the trouble! You should be fine.

They were ok.. I live in Lynbrook and drove to Garden City for work and it took me 40 minutes to get there this morning.. I am glad I left earlier this morning
