House Wish List
So DH and I have been living in a new apt for a bit over 3 months. We relocated from another state so between moving, new jobs, and getting married, this was the option for now. I am not happy living here. A big part of it has to do with the fact that we've been in an apt for a while. Also, on top of that, DH's SUV got keyed last week in our parking garage! Seriously?! Another strike.
So I have started compiling a house wish list This is what I have so far:
Counter Space in Kitchen Walk-in Closets Hardwood Floors Storage, including ample closet and linen closet space Master Bathroom Open floor concept – kitchen opening up into family room; dining area
Location Good School District Near public transit, major highways Bank, Gas Station, Coffee Places
So for all of you living in apartments and houses, what have you come to realize that you can't live without or just makes life so much easier, both location-wise and the place itself?
Thanks!

Re: House Wish List
I think your wish list is very do-able!
I have almost everything on your wish list.
I could live without:
master bath
hardwood floors - you can always add
open floor plan - I love it, but I could live without it
My absolute must haves were SD, storage, and location.

Re: House Wish List
we didn't have a wish-list bc we bought my grandparents house... it's definitely not the #1 style or layout we would have liked but sentimentally and financially, it couldn't be beat. what we have come to wish for if we had our "ideal" house - things that cannot be changed about this one is: a basement, a fireplace, bigger bedrooms and MUCH bigger closets.
i think your list is definitely do-able and also very smart. the only thing that wouldn't be a make it or break it point to me is hard wood floors, because that is something you can always add.
