House smells stale
Since moving into our house I feel like it always smells stale. I don't think we have a mold problem, at least one I could see. We replaced all the carpets, and have painted all the rooms. I still feel like it smells. We do have a dog and I know that doesn't help since she smells herself, but we bathe her often and she is old so nothing we can do about that. Any suggestions?

Have you tried Febreeze on some of the fabrics?

The smell is not in the fabrics, it is more of the whole house.

Yes we replaced all the carpeting when we bought the house.

Do u have a basement? We have a crawl space, and this causing a stale stench occasionally, especially on high humidity days.

I have that problem too and we have no carpeting and everything is painted. We have been 4 years. I have wall flowers from bath and body in lavender vanilla and that helps a lot.

We have both a crawl space and basement but they don't smell at all...so I am clueless as to why this is happening.

I am going to try a plug in but I hate masking the odor, I just want to eliminate it. It doesn't help that I am extremely sensitive to smells!

i remember when my sis got her house they had a similar problem .
we did bowls of vinegar. google it.i think it helped
