I'm watching episode 9 now. This season is really slick. A few slightly confusing story lines but I'm hooked!
As for the shocker scene in episode one

I just knew that was going to happen (though I thought it was going to be a hit man ) as soon as I saw the scene where it was filmed ,,,,

I cannot believe what Francis did to her in episode 1. To be completely honest AND overly dramatic  I was speechless and hyperventilating lol. I made DH rewind it-OMG
Ok I think Claire is just as evil as Francis... Poor Christina. The whole thing is terrible.
Jackie is gearing up to go head to head with Francis. I can feel it.
We are up to ep. 7 and can't get enough!

YUP. I was literally like OMG what is happening OMG what is happening over and over and over.
I just finished the season. The further along I got the more  I was. Really excellent season. I honestly felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!

2 full seasons 13 episodes each available on netflix. Season 2 came our this past Friday.

I remember that she called him after telling her boyfriend/editor guy that she promised to no longer contact Frank. I think she needed to let him know that she was willing to stay on and continue to be in his pocket as VEEP. I think they both agreed they needed each other. I think he asked her to meet down in the metro over a text message.
I don't think he pre planned the killing, but maybe I'm wrong. I think he realized she wasn't going to stop digging and had to get rid of her. I could be wrong.
I told DH, I think he'll find a way to destroy the president to get to the top slot. I am up to episode 12.
