Hotel Rec - Myrtle Beach
Hi, heading to Myrtle Beach for a few days.
My husband and I would like to stay somewhere on the nicer end but not looking to break the bank either. Looking for a hotel/resort with a nice pool / grounds close to the beach and center 'of it all.'
Thanks!

I'm in Myrtle Beach right now. I don't feel like anything is in the "center of it all." You can get a mid-way hotel and be near the boardwalk, rides, little gift shops. Or you can get a hotel off the beach but closer to golf, or Barefoot Landing or Broadway at the Beach (which despite its name is nowhere near the beach). I feel like you have to get into your car to experience it all. We're staying at our timeshare South Beach Resort, which is part of a Holiday Inn Vacation Club. We are on the south end of the strip. The resort has nice pools, nicer units, and has it's own small little beach club- but you do have to walk across the street or take the shuttle (we walk it). And right next door is a par 3 golf course, which is very convenient.

Re: Hotel Rec - Myrtle Beach
I agree, just depends on if you want to be right on the beach. I am not really a big fan of the downtown MB area. We stay at a golf resort which is about a 5 min drive to the beach, and close to Broadway at the Beach. They are condo rentals so I guess good for families (I believe Myrtlewood Villas is the company that rents them out). We drive everywhere to experience everything. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to be right on the beach though. Someone on here also recommended the Myrtle Beach resort on the south end. Good luck!
