Re: HOTEL NYC
We stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel right after Christmas. I think I would classify it as a boutique hotel. There's no lobby to speak of, but a nice bar, and a restaurant. The rooms were neat and clean, with some nice views. I really liked the location.

Re: HOTEL NYC
We've stayed at the Iroquois and it was amazing. I love hotels, Lol, and it was the best one I've ever stayed in.
We've also been to the Tribeca Grand. It was nice too. It was a little more trendy.

Re: HOTEL NYC
DW and I stayed at the Wellington when we stayed over to see Elf. It was nice and affordable. I am sure there are nicer places, but it was great for the price.

Re: HOTEL NYC
I like the W in Times Square, The Fitzpatrick (where I used to practically live for months during event season...love the staff there).
I've stayed at The Sheraton, little run down.
Our staff stay at The Affinia (right outside of Penn Station) and recently we've been sending them to the Herald Square Hotel. Herald Square is one of least expensive & yet still nice hotel in Midtown.

Re: HOTEL NYC
try hotwire.com. ive used it several times in nyc, chose the location and selected only hotels with 4 1/2 stars or better.
stayed @ the benjamin recently for 120 a night! very clean, had restaurant and bar attached and a rooftop bar right next door called 'upstairs'
