Hot water heater replacement
How much does it usually run for a hot water heater- electric 40 gal. tank. My admin. lives in Rockville Centre and she said she does not have the option of LIPA. does anyone know if that correct? I am trying to help her out in getting some information on quotes.

It will cost a few hundred dollars to replace a hot water tank/heater.
We just installed a tankless hot water heater, and paid $850 for the unit and $500 for installation. It took them all day to do.
ETA: Yes, RVC has their own power company. She can go through any place to purchase and install it, like Sears, Lowe's, etc. I used to live in RVC and loved the fact they had their own power since they had back - ups generators when the power went out.
