Hospital Spinoff...Good Sam...thoughts?
My new doc is associated with Good Sam...i don't really know anything about it but I have heard its a good hospital.
Does anyone have any experience there...are they private or shared rooms?

Shared rooms.
I know they are often crowded.
My dr. delivers there so I don't have a choice- but I'd probably use them anyhow since I live 3 minutes away.

As with most hospitals (other than stonybrook) they are shared rooms. I can tell you that I had a small "scare" and the labor and delivery nurses were amazingly nice and supportive. I'm not due until November so I don't know much more than that.

i had ds at good sam and will have #2 there.. I LOVED THEM... the ldr is extremely private and the staff was fantastic and respected my wishes... my ob with ds didnt but that is a whole other issue... I did have a private maternity room due to medical reasons but to be honest it was VERY small...

LDR is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I loved all the nurses and staff. They were so great. The recovery are shared but all I could think was I'm here a few days who cares.

Love it... I've been there 2xs so far this pregnancy & had amazing experiences. I don't care if it's shared rooms or not... The drs there are excellent, nurses are very compassionate & attentive. LDR are comfy. The hospital overall has a great reputation. When finding a new OB/GYN I only looked for those affiliated with the hospital.
