Re: Hospital bag??? What to pack???

I didn't need much with me because we had very few visitors and I was only there for two days. That said, here's what I brought/used:

- comfy PJs / sweats (actually came home in these)
- granny panties (although I actually think I used the disposables they gave me for several days -- they gave me a week's worth)
- flip flops
- bathroom supplies -- toothbrush, brush, etc, soap, towel for DH
- scrunchies
- blanket for DH who stayed over with me
- baby's coming-home outfit
- FOOD (I was so hungry and they never gave me enough food so I was really glad I packed all those extra snickers bars)
- camera / battery
- cell phone / charger

There really wasn't a whole lot more than that I needed. The maxi pads at the hospital weren't the good type with the wings but I just made do with what they had. I wish I'd packed my own motrin & colase because they charged me like $8 for each motrin and $1.50 for each colase I took there. This time my deductible is already met so I'm not as worried but that was an annoying bill to get last time.

I think I had my ipod, a back massager, and a lot of hard candy for L&D but I wasn't in L&D long enough to need any of that.

I know some people bring those colgate wisps things if they can't leave the bed to brush their teeth. Also sometimes people bring spray shampoo, but I did my hair while in labor so I didn't even need to wash it while I was there.

If you know you're having a c, a boppy is a great idea!
