Hose, am I the only one who hates them?

I promised DH I would wear a dress today but I went to put on the hose and they were so itchy and uncomfortable I decided maybe I could wear a suit instead. He says I can't wear pants to a temple!! Is that true???
And why do hose itch so much????

I hate them too - they ALWAYS run within an hour!

religious Jewish women wear skirts and dresses. but it is not unheard of for a woman to wear pants to Temple.

I hate to ask, but did you shave your legs today? if not, that could be why the hose are itchy. I find that DKNY, CK and other "higher" end hose feel like silk on my legs. I haven't worn hose in long time, but I used to only wear the higher end stuff.

I know a lot of people hate them, but my legs are milky white and unless I am wearing a summer dress/skirt, I have to wear hose.

cvs 2.99 the cvs is opened 24 hrs lol...and i shaved yesterday.

shave today, trust me, it will make a difference lol!

i will give it a whirl..but i still dont like hose.

do you think filene's basement is open yet? i can get to one in 5 minutes.

I went to Macy's because Filene's opened at 10:30. I bought HUE hos because that was the only brand in a small.

eta: niiiiice these are not so itchy! the control top keeps them up but I cannot breathe.

Yeah, I never wear drug store hose for that reason. I get them at Macy's.

Unless it's orthodox, there's no reason why you can't wear pants. In the reform temple we go to hardly any of the women wear skirts. The rabbi wears pants most of the time

Do you have tall boots? Maybe you could skip the hose by wearing tall boots and a long skirt/dress.

I loathe them! Plus, my thighs rub together creating a really unpleasant sound when I walk in them.

I don't like them. When I do have to wear them, I wear them much bigger than I need. They feel better.

I find that high end or low end are the same for me.

hate them and I don't wear them at all. I have worn the ones by Donna Karan that go all the way up under the boobs so they slim you all over. They stay up, but if I had a choice, no hose!
