Honey Nut Cheerios
My DD is almost 11months and my parents gave her honey nut cheerios last night. I know that she shouldn't have honey until she's 1 year but I guess they didn't know that! So, anyone know how much honey causes botulism or if I should be concerned?

I wouldn't worry about Honey Nut Cheerios. I mean, I am sure the tiny amount of honey on them won't cause anything.

my ped told me its pure, raw plain honey thats the problem. like smearing honey on a cracker, not honey in other foods.

Same here. If something is cooked with it, it's fine. I'm sure the honey in Honey Nut Cheerios endures some type of baking process. It's fine.

I'd actually have been more worried about the nuts. Looks like she didn't have a reaction which is great -- it would have been right away. Tell your parents not again!

As per my old pediatrician they are fine...and that was when they used real nuts...
