Homeowners Insurance
Can you please tell me how much you pay and who you use?
Appartly Square Footage really effects the $, so also how big is your house?

We use State Farm, we have a Cape, about 1100 sf. I think we pay about $980 for the year, and that includes a jewelry rider for all my stuff.

We use Interboro Insurance....got them through my ins. broker.
(I actually have two great contacts...if you need info FM me)
We pay around 1400. (this also includes insurance on my jewelry) We have a high-ranch, appx 2,000 sq.ft. and we have an underground oil tank.
Just an fyi also....
some things that determine $ for insurance are the following:
sq. ftg
type of heat (if oil..where tank is located)
year built
age of roof

We have Mercury Insurance. We got them through an ins broker since we live near water and it was almost impossible to find insurance on our own (believe me, I tried). We pay $817 w/ $1000 deductible for about 1200 square feet.
I was also able to get a quote from Traveler's. They quoted us about $1300 with a $2000 deductible.
I think insurance partly depends on the age and condition of the roof. The companies all really wanted this info.
