Homemade hairspray

So after months of red eyes and no answers, I think I finally have a cause of my red, irritated eyes. After many years of doing my hair straight I started styling it curly again and have been using hairspray.

So I want to try to make hairspray at home. Anyone do this before?

I dont know if it's considered hairspray but I have made spray gel in the past by mixing gel and water in a spray bottle. Does gel irritate you too? You can probably dilute it to whatever ratio wont irritate you.
