Homemade food
Ever since the recall on dog foods I've been nervous on what brand to give my dog. I usually make him homemade food and when I do not have time I'll give him Merricks canned food. I'm tired of giving him chicken though. Can anyone recommend anything else that is ok for them to have?

You can offer greenbeans and peas. also, rice, but that may constipate them.
Turkey is okay, and once a week some fresh cooked, unmarinated beef.

I never have given my dogs dog food, ever...go to petrecipes.com...there are plenty of recipes there. Also your vet should have some information about this stuff.
I gave my dogs this morning boiled chopped meat, with no salted mixed veggies and a half of a yam. Tommorrw they will get bolied chicken mixed with plain oatmeal and peas

I make my own food, but if for whatever reason I don't give them that, they get Wellness brand.
