homemade baby food: peas??
I have made string beans and now am moving on to peas! The ped. said that nothing had to be strained, and that she recommends making it not too thin in consistency. A friend told me that peas must be strained after pureeing because the "skins" can choke the baby. Do any of you have experience with this?

I never strained the skins out, just pureed really well. We never had a problem. I know some people puree and then mash them through like a mesh strainer.

I tried to strain it the first time and it was a huge pain and quite a mess. I added some extra water and pureed it really really well and DD never had a problem.
