Home Security/Alarm System:
We would like one for the obvious reasons but also b/c Homeowner's Insurance would be like $1,100 less a year with one.
Which company do you have and what are the costs? Installation? Monthly?
We just need a basic one. Thanks!

Installation totally depends on what you want. My DH installs alarm systems. They range so much. We just dropped about $1k for parts for our new house. If you want motion detectors, cameras, sirens, etc it would be more. Depends on how many windows and doors and if it's hard wired or wireless. The company he monitors through is something like $18 per month.
