home-made headboard ideas -?

HI!
It's been a while since my last post, so HI!

I want to make my own headboard, but here's my issue. . .
The head of the bed is against a wall with baseboard. All the things i see on pinterest and elsewhere look like things that i would have to attach to the wall...

This doesn't help much with my pillows falling between the bed and headboard / wall - this will ANNOY me.

Have you come across anything that i can DIY that i can attach to a bed frame? (I need a queen size frame too... in case you know anyone looking to dump one...)

You could probably DIY an upholstered headboard that attaches to the frame. Go to the store and look at how the headboards that you buy attach to the frame, and then go to HD or Lowe's and buy the hardware you need. Making the upholstered part is easy too.

This was what my first intention was. a piece of plywood, foam, fabric, glue gun, and some nail heads, and i think that's it!

Then the attaching to the frame... two pieces of wood for each corner?

Re: home-made headboard ideas -?

We made our own headboard. I got a piece of wood from Home Depot and paid them to cut it to the size I wanted. I went to a fabric store and ordered 4 inch foam. I used spray glue adhesive to attach the foam to the wood. I got a quilt that I liked and used a staple gun to attach everything together. I did not need to use the batting because the quit already had the batting inside. We made our headboard 7 years ago and it is still comfortable.

I think if you check one out in a store, it would give you a better idea how to attach it. If I remember correctly, you can buy a fairly heavy strip of metal with holes in a line down the center. Then you can screw the headboard to the metal where you need it, and same with the frame. Not sure if I explained that correctly, but if you check in the store it would be easy to see how they do it.
