HOLY Indigestion!!!!!!!
DH seriously wanted to take me to the hospital last night....
I made a mistake by eating a lot in one sitting and drinking a whole bunch while I was eating too. I think I drank 3 glasses of water.
Well, let's just say I was couch-ridden for the whole nihgt, barely slept and my stomach is still killing me.
Small meals from now on!
Anyone have any "remedies" in case I happen to do this again? I took 1 TUM and it kinda worked, but I hate them!

Just don't eat a lot in one sitting. The indigestion can get pretty bad...I sometimes feel like I'm going to explode! I find that it helps to eat many small meals a day instead of large ones.

DH felt so bad because I was begging him to read the books to find some relief, and all the books said was that I should be eating small meals, blah, blah.....I was screaming, "I KNOW THAT BUT WHAT CAN I DO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
We actually started laughing when DH got so mad because the damn books were all so redundant about it.....

I never learned my lesson, I always felt like I was going to explode even after I ate a "small" meal. I swore I got even fuller 1/2 hr after I ate! It's gotten much better now at 18 & 19 weeks for some reason. Sorry I have no ways to get rid of it...

You learned the hard way to eat small meals and not large ones...so sorry..
When I overinduldge and eat too much my belly can handle, I chug Mylanta Supreme in Cherry.
It helps with the Acid indisgestion and kills some of the gas/bloating in your tummy.
ETA: I HATE TUMS too, the cherry actually doesn't taste bad, it's the only one i can take without gaggin and it WORKS!

I get indigestion no matter how big or small a meal I eat. I take 3 or 4 Tums Smoothies.

I learned the hard way, on Saturday night in front of a bunch of LIW girls that small meals and no rich foods are rules to live by. I got very sick and then, because of the heartburn, I slept propped up with 3 overstuffed pillows. Feel better.
