Holy hell- how DO you pack when taking an infant on a trip?
I've always been horrible at packing but this is ridiculous! You have to see the endless bags I have....and we don't even know if we'll stay past 2 nights!!
I always overpack as it is...but with her, it's taking it to the nth degree!!!
I worry about how she's gonna eat so I brought so many alternatives...
bath stuff...
tons of clothes...
bedtime stuff that she has at home...
HELP ME SCALE THIS DOWN PLEASE!!!!
Can you tell this is our first trip?

Ok Tara- take a deep breath!
Things you need:
clothes and a few extra outfits
diapers
wipes
PJs
bathing suit & towel
sippy cups
hats
shoes
lovey or other sleeping comfort item
sunscreen
blanket
bath soap
Does the place provide crib and linens? If not bring sheet for crib.
Bring a few of her favorite toys and books. Try bring the small ones. That is what I did when we went to PR.

I almost started listing what I brought when my mom and I took DS away last week but then I noticed that your daughter is over a year old. My list won't help - DS is 4 mos.

We recently went away for a week
I was able to fit all of DDs clothes in a duffle bag, that was including towels and washcloths, the sheet for the P&P, shoes, hats and the baby grooming kit. My husband is a Marine and is awesome at packing - the key is to roll everything.
Then I had one of those reusable walbaums bags with diapers, wipes, the can of formula and some toys for the ride. I used a second diaper bag I have to pack bottles, bowls, spoons, jars of baby food and the can of cereal.

How are you packing?
Oh yeah, I forgot bowls and spoons. I always have spoons in my diaper bag so I didn't think of that.

ITA with everything
some toys, but not too much
Maybe small dishwasher detergent to clean out bottles or sippies
extra sheets just in case. I always pack one sweatshirt for him if there's a cold night
shampoo
is there a washer and drying? We used that at out timeshare
We also bought some cheap beach toys (well, my IL's did)
I didn't even pack too much bathing suits. After a while I just put him in the swimmies b/c it was so much easier then getting him totally dressed
Just like Ivelysse said about spoons, but I wound up using the resorts bowls and spoons anyway. Get the ones you can toss
Most places I got him yogurt for lunch and used their spoon.

When we took DD to Jamaica, half our luggage was her stuff...diapers, swimmers, sippys, clothes, wipes, disposable bibs, sunblock, hat, stroller, etc

Yes, I agree. I usually bring one small bag of toys, books, things she has in her crib. If not, it can get ridiculous!

Hitch house to trailer - proceed on trip.
You should see my car when we go on a trip & we only have one DD (for now).  Another reason I'm glad we got a minivan.
