Holy Crap I'm Melting
It is SOOOO hot here!!! The only way I could cool down is to get in my car and drive around!! Ugh. It was 86 degrees today and NO AIR CONDITIONING. Have I mentioned that no place has AIR CONDITIONING??? I am so hot. Poor Noah, he did not nap at all today and I felt so sick from the heat that I put him to bed at 6.30...he fell asleep in like 2 minutes...heres to hoping he sleeps all night and until 8 tomorrow morning.
Ugh.

Well at least it's ONLY 86 degrees...you would certainly melt in New York right now...I think I heard it's about 100 degrees today...

Its true...no one, except maybe Posh & Becks, has AC in their homes. We never get hot weather. I'm still melting!

Holy carolly!!!!! How is that even possible??????? I remember reading an article a couple of years ago when London had some kind of heat wave and people there aren't used to this kind of weather- old folks were just not making it....
Anyhoo- can you invest in one or is that not the norm there?

What about window fans? Lots of them?? The have ones here that supposedly have temp controls on them like an AC -- my sister has one and says that it works great!

Well we made it through the night, and Noah slept from 6.30 pm until 7.45 am. We have ceiling fans in our house (what is not the norm) and I had the windows open last night....
I only had to listen to the milk float delivering milk at 6.30 and my neighbours playing bhangra music at around 1. But we made it!!!
I can buy one of those room AC's that you have to vent out of the window, but they are expensive and its not worth it for the 2 weeks of hot weather we have every year!

Glad he slept for you!! I think you have to tell your coffee shop to throw some ice in your coffee!!
my in-laws in Ireland have the same heat wave & are dying!!! My SIL said they couldn't even sit outside it was so hot. LOL!! I told her come here & you'll see heat!!

Ice, haha, Tracy, surely you know ice is a valuable commodity in Britain!
I have spent today, supposedly the hottest day of the year under a tree in the park. Sure beats working!
