HOLY CRAP

I just got back from my 2nd growth sono... my little is huge. I had the first one at 33 weeks and she was measuring 6lbs4oz 80th percentile... they want to watch the weight closely so today at 37w4d I had the 2nd and she is measuring 9lbs4oz I know that these are often not that accurate, but even if its close I still have 2+ weeks left of her growing! I am going back monday for another internal, nothing really going on down there right now. they are going to watch the weight closely and if she gets to big we will discuss scheduling a c-section. I have to say, at this point I am OK with that, I am really nervous about pushing out a baby that large!

Wow, she's a big girl! I hate how off those things can be though, they may be scaring you for nothing.

With Caiden I had my 2nd growth sono at 39w1d and he was measuring 9lb 12oz. Well, I had him 2 nights later, and 5 days before DD and he was 10lb 12oz. We were soooooo glad we had a c-section. His head would of gotten stuck. They even had to use the plunger thing to get his head out!

But the other girls are right. The sono's aren't always right. I believe it's really how skilled/good the technician is who's doing them that makes them accurate or not.

But it's true when you say that sometimes those growth sonos are SOO "off" I'm sure they will monitor you carefully though so that you'll have the best delivery possible!

SO exciting how close you are!
