Holiday traditions - which books?
I'd like to start a tradition for Christmas with reading a book either each night or just Christmas eve/morning.
Which book/s? I never did this growing up and neither did DH so I'm not exactly sure since there are so many slight variations of different names.

I have a beautiful anthology put together by Caroline Kennedy, I believe it is called A Kennedy Family Christmas.
It has poems, songs, stories for the holiday season that children and adults might like

Re: Holiday traditions - which books?
I just bought a book with a few different stories in it in Spain at Monserrat. they are in spanish and I love it.
if you are interested I can get the proper name and look it up online.
otherwise, I want to get A Christmas Carol. the book comes in junior and baby editions as well as the original, so I feel like you can have the story grow with you and your family.
there is also "Twas the night before chirstmas" which we are going to read to the kids before we make them go to sleep and wait for santa on Christmas eve.
I love the idea. I think it's beautiful.

Re: Holiday traditions - which books?
my father always read "twas the night before Christmas" with me and my brother! So I have continued the tradition
MY father just bought the one at Hallmark that you can record your voice so their Pops can read it to them for years to come

Ah ok, yes, A Christmas Carol, Twas the Night Before Christmas...
What about the Polar Express? Is that a good one? Or only for older kids?

At our Christmas Eve Party we gift each child under 10 with pajamas and then we read:
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas The Gospel According To St. Luke and T'was The Night Before Christmas.
