Holiday activities this weekend?
So since I hear the Bayville Winter Wonderland isn't that great, I am looking for something Christmas-y to do with DH and DS (16 1/2/ months old) this weekend. We live in Nassau.
TIA girls!

Re: Holiday activities this weekend?
I saw there is a holiday light display by Pinelawn cemetary. I have never been. I have been to Bayville and not thrilled. I had to carry a stroller through a mini golf course, some in the dark.

Hicks has the yearly Christmas stuff
Also Clark Botanic on Hillside avenue in East Williston has a Winter wonderland on Saturday and Sunday - this will be our first year going so I dont have too much information on it - try googling it

We actually went today. It was cute but nothing great. I only live 5 minutes away so it was not a big deal but I would definitely not travel for it Basically they have toy soldiers and a few other decorations set up on an outside lawn that the kids can run around and take pictures with. They also have a pond with ducks - luckily I had some gold fish in the diaper bag and DD had a blast feeding them so that took up a nice chunk of time Someone said they had an outdoor train last year but they did not have it this year - I overheard someone saying something about the Hurricane damage and they were not able to set it up? I am not sure though When you go inside there are 3 very small rooms Room 1 has a man playing an Electric keyboard with other various instruments and strobe lights where the children can dance - it was very cute but VERY small Room 2 had a train set running that was sponsered by willis hobby that was cute for kids to look at. They also had two toy soldiers and a little present area that was cute for pictures. They had a lady sitting at a table teaching kids how to make paper snowflakes but that was abviously for older kids who could use scissors Room 3 was the cookie decorating room- it cost 2 dollars and the kids got a ginger bread man cookie with icing and a bag full of candy and they were able to sit at tables set up and decorate their cookies - this was really cute But that is basically it. We were there for 2 hours. DD was having fun running around and stuff so we could probably stay longer but it was a little tricky because I also have a 6 month old and NO STROLLERS were allowed in the inside house part and it was a little tricky carrying her around in the car seat with all the small rooms ect... You can push the strollers all around outside Also outside was a maze made of bushes that kids were enjoying running around in but again no way could you push a stroller around in it and I was by myself with both of the girls Hope this helped
