Re: holbrook?
I lived there, but in an apartment. I liked all of Holbrook. The schools are good.

Re: holbrook?
I have lived here my entire life (minus a couple of months in an apt. in another town). I don't think there are any bad areas. Some streets are nicer, especially the ones with the sidewalks. Ask away if you have any questions. I can probably answer 99.9% of any questions you got!!

Re: holbrook?
I've lived in Holbrook for 29 years. There are several different areas that you could choose from that range in price. Somerset Estates is the most expensive with houses upwards of $600,000 to $700,000. The Colony has townhouses that can go as high as $550,000. There are some new small developments that have/are being built. However, most of Holbrook is middle-of-the-road. Birchwood Estates, Woodgate Village, New England Village (where I live). Average prices range from $290,000 to $390,000. TimberRidge is, also, townhouses and average around $450,000. There is an older section of Holbrook which is on the other side of Broadway Avenue. The only area I would stay away from is further south on Grundy Avenue near Veterans Highway. This area is a mixture of industrial and residential. There are, also, a couple of mobile home parks.
The school district is Sachem. It's an o.k. district. Main Street has been revitalized in the past few years and there is a good mixture of businesses. There are a number of houses of worship. Holbrook is a great place to live and raise a family. I don't regret for a minute our decision to live here.
