Hoarding type clean up?

I can't even believe I'm posting this. It has come to my attention that a relative has made a total mess of her apartment and it is destroyed and a total epic mess. Does anyone know of a service that will come clean it up? The landlord is freaking out (rightfully so!) and I just refuse to do it.

Been there.

Hoarding is a disease, so you have to find out why she does that. It is VERY hard for a hoarder to get rid of their stuff. Everything has value, use, I NEED IT.
I am still dealing with this this 3 years later. FIL almost got evicted. His apartment is destroyed and he won't let us in to fix it. I've given up on forcing the issue.

When he was facing eviction, I went in and pretty much started in one place, sorting quickly what was trash and what wasn't. It was disgusting work, filth and critter droppings, tons of newspapers. He is very indecisive, so I did not give him a whole lot of freedom. Took me a couple of weekends to sort and then I called 1-800 got junk to do a massive haul away. 4 truckloads over 3 weekends. That was enough to satisfy management and housing court. There's at least 2 more trucks of crap that can go, lord only knows what he has brought back in.

I also made him see a therapist to deal with this, but it is not helping because he always skirts the issue.

Never got the apartment cleaned, painted, fixed and I really don't care. We'll deal with that when he's gone.

you def. need a junk truck of some sort. it will take a few trips.
