hmmm....help me figure this out...
IDK what title to write in the subject line. but here is the situation.
On Christmas, DH gave me goreous diamond earrings. Perfect size for me, just perfect gift. Anyway, my mom and dad come over on Christmas AM and I had them in. So my mom asks me what DH gave me, so I say my earrings, look how pretty. So she was going on about how pretty they are and how much she loves them. Great, thank you, I love them too.
So, we go to IL's for dinner. MIL asks the same question, so I say "oh, my earrings." Her response, "yeah." With a smile. 
I guess my DH showed her b/c he bought them from the "family jeweler." So she saw them already. But would it have killed her to say they look nice or I like them.
I mean, just a "yeah" and that's it.
Got me kind of annoyed.
Anyone else have a parent or IL like that?

mine arent like that... maybe she would like nice earrings from her husband and doesnt receive them so she shrugs off other peoples nice gifts?

no. she gets jewerly virtually every holiday/birthday. And she always points out what she gets, when she gets it.
Maybe it's just me, but it kind of got under my skin.

Wear them in GREAT health and just keep your lips shut about it...if she sees it's affected you, she'll continue.

Well, you could have a MIL like mine and when JT told her he was buying me a diamond necklace to wear for our wedding, she went out and bought me a fake one and laid a fake guilt trip on me about how she really wanted me to wear it on my wedding day. So, at least she didn't buy you a pair of fake earrings and try to make you wear them
She's probably jealous.
