Hi...I'm new here.

Hi ladies,
Well, after awhile of TTC w/no success, I saw an RE yesterday. Looks like I am going to need IVF. He did a sono and found a fibroid, small ovaries and not many baseline follicles on CD3. I've had sonos before, by another RE, who was acutally working as my gyn; this never came up; the last sono was less than a year ago. Had another one done by my new GYN 2 months ago and he never said anything either.
I have no fertility coverage, not even for meds. My parents and in-laws have offered to help, which DH and I are grateful for. I am scared and so depressed about this. Any advice (and Chat Icon 's) you all can offer, are appreciated.
Thanks for listening

I've had CD3 testing in Jan, 09, and an HSG, both were fine according to the RE I saw before. He was my gyn, but he is also an RE. I did not feel comfortable with him anymore; he was pretty cold w/me. DH had SA in March, 09, all was well w/that too.
I started with a new GYN, who started me on 50mg of Clomid and prometrium for 2 cycles, before going to a new RE. I had never tried any type of treatement at that time. So, yesterday, they took 19 vials of blood (CD3) and did a sono. I am going back for a f/u sono, b/c there was somethng in my uterus that the RE couldnt make out and needs me to do the sono w/water. I'm 39 and of course, I am being told how much my chances will go down. I am going to wait until next week, when the results are in and they do the sono and then talk to DH about what we want to try.
Thanks for listening. Chat Icon

So sorry you have to deal with the issue of infertility. I think it's wonderful that you have a natural support system in your family. It will be very helpful for you in the time ahead. Best of luck!

Re: Hi...I'm new here.

I wish you the best of luck. We too have minimal fertility coverage which makes an already difficult process a little more difficult. Welcome to the board I hope your stay is very short over here.
