Re: High Rick Doc

is there a specific reason you would be high risk once you get pregnant?

i dont think there are too many high risk gyn doctors for while you are TTC, you would just see a regular ob/gyn. there are RE's that help you get pregnant if you have issues or if you have recurrent miscarriages, but you dont need to see one unless you have a specific issue or have been TTC for a while with no luck.

Dr. Pillitteri in Deer Park. He refers to other Drs too for specific issues but you wouldn't know for sure until you are pregnant. You might want to check on the pregnancy board too.

I know I wanted a high risk Dr. b/c of possible GD. They said I might have it b/c my mom and sisters did. Was there a specific reason you needed a high risk Dr.?

I agree, and like bringonthebaby said, unless you know of something NOW that would put you at a high risk, there's no reason to think that you need a high risk dr until you are pregnant.

Re: High Risk Doc

My RE suggested I see my regular OB/GYN and get a recommendation from him for a high risk before we started a cycle. I have high blood pressure, am overweight and have FVL, he felt that between the 3 of them they could come up with the healthiest game plan for me. I see Dr. Ogburn out of Stony Brook.
