High Estrogen Level

Today was suppose to be my Day 3 to start my IVF cycle. They just called me with my blood results and told me my estorgen level is high 170. They want me to continue on the Lupron but up the dose to 20 units and come back on Monday for more blood work. They told me not to start the Follistism pen. Has this happened to anyone before? I feel worried, even though they told me not to worry. Thank you for any input you may have!

Do you have full blown AF (bleeding)?

My last cycle (I was on Lupron) I started bleeding (light-spotting) and I thought that was my AF...went in on Day 3 and like you my E2 was around 150....they said I couldn't start and wanted me to come back again and get my E2 levels tested again...The next day I started bleeding heavy (regular not spotting) and that's when my E2 dropped to 28 (normal level on Day 3)...I then started stimms (follistim)...

I am thinking your AF didn't start fully and your lining is still thick..once you start to shed it, your E2 will go down....

Thank you! I def have full on A.Flow. They did an ultra sound and said it looks like I have a cyst. Hopefully the lupron will get my levels down. GL to you as well and thanks for responding.

During my first IVF cycle, on my third day of stims I was at 1100. I spiked all the wasy to 6800 by retireval day even tho my RE tried cutting back on my meds and coasting me for a few days. I even went on a low sodium diet for two weeks.
I am in my second cycle now and they cut my dosage in half and then cut it agian and my estrogen level has been great all along. I am three days away from retrieveal and my estrogen is almost 1000.
