here's a good remedy:
put your fingers in your ears and sip water slowly and gently through a straw at the same time

I do the same, only without the straw (DH usually holds the glass for me).

This is going to sound weird, but it always works for me:
Take a straw and put it in your mouth sideways, so it is pressing your tongue down and the sides are sticking out of the sides of your mouth.
Take a sip of water with the straw there, so that it kind of keeps your tongue down. It is a little hard to swallow, but whatever it does, works!
It works every time for me!
let me know if I should describe it in a different way!

breathe in SLOWLY until your diaphragm starts to shake, then breathe out. Usually works for me & DH

I do the water trick too. I chug a glass of water and have DH hold his hands over my ears, lol. Works every time for me.

a little bit of lemon juice always works for us. Suck on a slice or squeeze a few drops onto a spoon
