Hi Ladies, quick question, has anyone had a cold and did or is it taking you longer to get over it?

Usually I am feel better after 2 or 3 days.

I am feeling better, but still congested and coughing and tired. It started last Saturday, it has been week.

Anyone else experienced or experiencing this?

when i was prego, i got a cold that wouldn't let up, they put me on zpak. DD is a healthy baby

I find since being preggo, everything takes longer to heal. Even something as simple as a bug bite - I feel like takes forever to heal. Colds have definitely taken me longer to get over.

i had a cold and it took me 2 weeks to get over it. The dr. said that when you are PG it takes longer.

yes, i had a cold and it lasted for about a month. i took robitussin but it still lingered for a while.

Your immune system is suppressed some in pregnancy-otherwise during implantation your body would think your baby was a clump of cells that didn't belong. I'm sorry you don't feel good but your body is doing what its supposed to

Took me a week to get over my cold! I didn't want to take anything (I was only 6 weeks at the time).

I seem to be the cold during pregnancy queen... 2 colds in 11 weeks... is that a record?

I never really felt better from September's cold... then I had a severe "outbreak" again this past week. It stinks, but decaf tea with real honey and real lemon helps and if all else fails, Afrin - but I'll only take it at night for 2 nights. I picked up some Sudafed, but fortunately asked the pharmacist if the stuff on the shelf (Sudafed PE) was okay, she said absolutely NOT, apparently the real plain Sudafed we can take was behind the pharmacist counter... I had to show ID and everything... buyer be ware.

With #1 I felt I had a cold for 3 months....The cough came and went a few times, but I was congested for a long time.

U can also take one of the Tylenol colds... I don't remember which one it was. I had a cold for about a month - it drove me crazy!!!!!!!
