Hi everyone..Update with question on bottom...
Hello all, I am a sort of frequent user, more of a lurker, in hiding for now...DH and I have been TTC for over 18 months, and have undergone 3 cycles of timed intercourse with Clomid..we are now seeing 2 RE's (only been to first appointments) and are deciding between two-Dr. Brenner at LI IVF and Dr. Z at East Coast Infertility...how would you go about deciding? Both want to go the same route, beginning with day 3 testing (which could be as soon as this weekend) and doing IUI #1 this month..one seemed more thorough on some points, but as I said , treatment appears to be the same on both...I hate making decisions..any insight would be great..I also am hoping for all of you girls what I hope for DH and I
Thank you...sorry this is longer than I thought it would be...

Re: Hi everyone..
which office has better monitoring times and locations for you? im not sure about IUI's but an IVF cycle was pretty demanding at the end in that I had to go in almost every day and LI IVF worked better for me as far as time and location... Good luck!!!

Re: Hi everyone..
Actually, both offices are pretty much equally convenient...monitoring hours btwn 6:30 and 8 m-f and weekends from 8-9 at an office near the house...see why this is so hard?! haha...

Re: Hi everyone..
Hi! I'm sorry your TTC journey has been such a struggle. Seeing an RE is a great step towards getting that BFP though!
I see Dr. Z at East Coast and could not be happier with him and the ENTIRE staff at the Plainview office. I actually just had a water sono today with Dr. Z and I was so nervous, as soon as he walked in the room I was calm. He just seems to have that way about him. It also really helps that he and his wife went through IVF to conceive, I think it makes him much more sensitive to his patients.
Of oxurse everyone has different experiences and different personalities don't always mix but for me and my DH Dr. Z and East coast are the best choice.
Good luck and feel free to ask any questions about Dr. Z, I'll do my best to help!

Re: Hi everyone..
If i can put my 2 cents in. I see Dr. Kenigsberg at LI IVF. Dr. Brenner did my ER last cycle and it was a botched cycle. He only retrieved one egg and left the rest in me (between 5 and 8). I was very unhappy about it. If you think that you have any problems, i recommend Kenigsberg. He listens to you and uses your input. I'm sorry to put Brenner down, but with the cost of ivf and knowing my ovaries were hard to find during the ivf cycle, i just dont want to see anyone else end up with one little lonely egg when protocol is 2-3. I should have had 3 eggs due to my age. Also the day of ET, Kenigsberg found i was bleeding from my ER holes.

Re: Hi everyone..
Thanks for the input, KrisClaire and ladies...I am actually leaning towards Dr. Brenner, only because his office was the one that actually called me to tell me my blood results the next day (we were in yesterday) and now I might have to go for a biopsy to see where I am in my cycle if I don't get AF by Tuesday..I had a good feeling about this..I am actually doing IUI first (my friend who went to this office has a son from having an IUI with him), so I guess I can cross the IVF bridge when I come to it...I HATE making decisions and just don't know where I feel better..thanks, if you're read this far, and if you can relate, it would be helpful!

If you decide that you dont like Brenner, Kenigsberg is in the same office. They are very good about calling with results.
