HGTV is looking for some people for upcoming shows

DH would kill me if I ever entered, but it looks like they are looking for a lot of shows.

Some of those are only looking for the Los Angeles area. 
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have Yard Crashers come to my house! I always think about what I would do if I saw Ahmed outside my local Lowes.  I think that's the DIY channel. But I love that show.

The problem with those shows, is that they have the designers do the designing (obviously...). However, I know almost exactly what I want to do to every part of the house.... I just don't have the time, money, or energy to accomplish it. I would love to have HGTV come over, and do exactly what *I* want, but just let THEM pay for it, and do the labor...

I want to enter our new house is such a mess I think they would love to use it. There is nothing really for Ny'ers and/or what show we would be on. But if they come back to me and say they are doing it I want to be able to have input of at least the style. I do not want a sterile modern look or a frumpy older persons look - i like a mix!
Some designers do some hardcore funky cold stuff

they have it on HGTV on Saturday mornings. I WISH I would see that guy!!!!!!!
I would LOVE to do one of these shows...does HGTV not film on the east coast?

I think the way they're doing things is changing though. On all the shows I've watched, they have specifically asked the homeowners for their style or like top things they want to see happen.
Sometimes I hate what they do on Yard Crashers but I always seem to get some good ideas watching it.
An LIF member had her bathroom done on one of the HGTV shows, so I know they've come out here. Maybe with the economy now, they're staying local to cut down on costs.
It's annoying to me to see them use a great plant in a show and then come to find that it's only tropical and would die here.

Some of them were for CA, but I thought a few didn't mention and area, maybe I'm wrong though.
And some of them do take the homeowners input. I also think that they take into consideration what you want PRIOR to the show airing and the designers do listen. No one would do the show, or it would trun out like that show on tlc, what was it called where the people switched houses and had no clue what was being done to their home, and usually they hated it... I think HGTV does allow you to give input. But I'm not sure 100% of that. I'd still try for it, and see where it takes you.
